Dunn
Tire Raceway Park Lowers Grandstand Admission for
2009
Institutes New "Frequent Fan
Club"
Lancaster, New York -
Dunn Tire Raceway Park, the WNY Home of the Asphalt Modified, has lowered their
stock car grandstand admission prices for the upcoming 2009 season. Adults, senior citizens, and youth will all
see reduced prices from the 2008 season.
For regular stock car
shows, which include almost all Modified events, adults will pay just $12 for
grandstand admission - a $3 decrease from last year. Senior citizens will pay $10, a decrease of
$2 from 2008, and kids ages 8-14 years old will be admitted for $5, also a $2
decrease from last season. As always,
kids under the age of 8 will be admitted for just $1. Family Passes will also be offered for just
$30 - a $10 savings from last season - and include admission for two adults and
three kids under the age of 14.
Only three events during the season
will see a different grandstand price structure - the May 24th
Memorial Day Meltdown featuring the Super Modified and Modified double header,
the June 20th Race of Champions Modified Tour event, and the
21st Annual US Open.
"In light of the economic times, we
lowered our grandstand admission costs to keep it affordable for our fans to
attend the races", commented track promoter Ralph Galluzzi. "We have also slashed our concession prices
as well in an effort to make a night at the races an economical family event,
certainly cheaper than a night at the movies or at local amusement park, but
with just as much entertainment".
Further grandstand savings will also
be available in the form of $2 off coupons for grandstand admission that will be
available at a number of DTRP sponsor locations. Additional information regarding the
locations where coupons are available will be released soon.
Four nights during the
season will see further reduced or even free admission for some fans. On May 30th DTRP will host their
annual "Military Appreciation Night" where members of the Armed Forces will
receive free grandstand admission with valid identification. Kids admission will only be $1 for youth ages
8-14 and kids under age 8 will receive free admission on Kids Day - June
13th. All emergency
responders (police, fire, and EMT/Paramedics) will receive $5 off grandstand
admission when they show their ID at the front gate on July 18th and
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts dressed in uniform will receive free admission on
Scout Night, scheduled for August 8th.
In addition to the discounted
grandstand admission, Dunn Tire Raceway Park will also be introducing something
new this season - the "Frequent Fan Club".
On their way into the racetrack, fans over the age of 18 will be given a "Frequent Fan Club" card which they must have punched each week that they attend
the races. Those fans who attend all
races from May 16th until June 20th will be entered into a
drawing to win a VIP Suite for themselves and 20 of their friends on the night
of August 29th or September 5th. Starting June 27th, a new contest
will begin, where fans who attend all of the races from that night until
September 5th, will be entered into a drawing to win a VIP Suite for
one night during the US Open weekend.
"We wanted to do something to reward
our 'requent fans' and thought that this was a great way to do it", stated
Director of Stock Car Events Lori Overdorf.
Dunn Tire Raceway Park, formerly
